Doors OS is a desktop that runs in your browser. It holds games, chat rooms, missions and a leaderboard, and you can use most of it without an account. This page says what the site keeps about you, why it keeps it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Your theme, wallpaper, panic key, cloak choice and other preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. If you use the download option, a copy of the whole site is kept in your browser so it can open without a connection. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.
To run your account and your saves, to show chat and the leaderboard to the players in them, to keep the site working and safe, to act on reports and bans, and to understand which parts of the site are used. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
The site runs on Base44, which hosts the pages and the database. Games and websites you open in the browser app load from their own providers, so those providers see the request your browser makes, the same as if you had visited them directly. GIF search sends your search words to Tenor. Admins of this site can read chat, player records and the visit details described above. That is the whole list.
Account and profile records stay while your account exists. Chat messages stay until they are deleted, and a message an admin deletes is moved to an archive so it can be restored if the deletion was a mistake. Visit records and playtime are kept for as long as they help with moderation and statistics.
You can change your handle, name, colour and picture at any time on your profile. You can delete your own messages. To get a copy of what the site holds about you, to correct it, or to have your account and its records erased, ask the person who runs this site. Erasing an account also removes the player records tied to it, except where something has to be kept to enforce a ban.
The site is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, tell the person who runs this site and it will be removed.
Data travels over an encrypted connection and is stored on the hosting platform. No site can promise perfect security, so treat this one the way you treat any site: do not post anything you would not want a stranger to read.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means the new version applies.
Questions about this page: ask the person who runs this site through the account you signed up with.
